XH018

NVRAM combines high speed access to static RAM and the long-term data retention "non-volatile" of Flash memories. It replaces the combinations of EEPROMs+SRAMs, or FLASH+SRAMs. NVRAM has two separate modes of operation: volatile mode (SRAM mode) and non-volatile mode (STORE / RECALL mode). Volatile data can be read and written an unlimited number of times while independent non-volatile data resides in EEPROM part (SRAM mode). The non-volatile operations transfer data in parallel from SRAM to EEPROM (STORE mode) or EEPROM to SRAM (RECALL mode).
