Policies, Procedures, Certificates
The policies and procedures used at X-FAB to ensure that our products and services meet both customer requirements and our business objectives in a consistent, economical, and reliable manner, are documented in the X-FAB Quality and Environmental Management Manual.
The effectiveness of X-FAB's integrated management system has been confirmed by several successful certifications:
- The X-FAB Quality Management System, the processes and their procedures and practices fulfill the requirements of the international automobile manufacturers according to ISO/TS 16949:2002. In addition, the certification body also confirmed the fulfillment of the Customer Specific Requirements according to ISO/TS 16949 Semiconductor Commodity.
- The Environmental Management Procedures are integral elements of the X-FAB Quality Management System. They are in full compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001. X-FAB's environmental objectives as well as the principles of action are described in the Environmental Policy.
- All X-FAB products are compliant with the Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament from January 27, 2003, which restricts the use of hazardous materials in the manufacture of electronic and electrical equipment.
- X-FAB's development procedure complies with the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, which is applicable for automotive projects. X-FAB ensures that all products fulfill the specified requirements through communication, continual improvement, non-conformity prevention, and quality processes aimed at meeting and exceeding the increasing customers' expectations. Quality processes are continually monitored and corrective actions taken to ensure compliance at all stages of development and manufacturing.
