Topic: Addressing Design Challenges for High-Temperature, High-Reliability for Automotive, Industrial and Medical Applications
At high temperature, designers are faced with additional technological and design challenges especially if their product is targeted at automotive, industrial or medical markets. Reliability requirements for these markets are very tough. In this presentation, the specific challenges related to high-temperature designs will be highlighted and ways how to tackle them will be discussed including the available tools from X-FAB. It also covers high temperature modelling, application specific reliability and design for reliability aspects and how these can be used effectively to enable designers to achieve first-time-right functional silicon.

Topic: Getting Started with Your Ultra-High-Voltage Designs
This presentation introduces X-FAB's 0.35µm low-cost, ultra-high-voltage (UHV) CMOS technology which is optimized for AC LED driver and efficient AC/DC conversion applications. A newly developed starter kit consisting of an application-specific analog library will be introduced. The combination of this tool kit, comprehensive design support and X-FAB’s cost-competitive process architecture enables first-time-right functional designs for high-volume lighting and mobile chargers applications.

Topic: Motor Drivers - Application Examples and Process Choices
Motor drivers are an important element in meeting todays’ energy efficiency targets for electronic devices. This presentation talks about the motor driver application space covering different concepts of gate or 3-phase monolithic motor drivers and various process technologies (bulk and SOI) that can be used to implement those. X-FAB offers solutions for low-side, high-side gate drivers, 3-phase monolithic motor drivers with or without integrated IGBTs, solid state relays and opto-couplers. Application examples will be discussed.
